Paid Production Management & Teaching INTERN
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Instruction
Direct parent/student communication at front desk and in classroom
Assistant to the director of our camp musical productions
Instructing acting and vocal classes for students age 4-18, working closely with professional staff
Teaching private voice or dance, if qualified (may be additional payment commensurate with experience)
Other teaching opportunities will be available dependent on experience and skill
Performance Production
Manage productions for 4 different summer camp performances
Run sales tables for productions
Procure, streamline and organize props and costumes for different productions
Assist in management of booths at community outreach events
We seek an intern who is as passionate about our work as we are! We want an intern who will use this position as a chance to develop his/her professional interests. Do you have the qualities we are looking for?
Commitment to quality work
Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
The love of children and education
Initiative to tackle multiple projects
Ability to work under pressure and effectively handle last-minute requests
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Completion of a minimum of one year towards a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
A passion for the performing arts
Preferably has either performing, musical (instrumental or other) and/or stage management experience

As a non-profit, we have limited funds but feel it is important to support students as they accumulate work experiences that complement their education and aid them in achieving their educational goals. Therefore, this internship comes with a compensation stipend of $1000 &/or credit toward completion of degree/capstone.
Additionally, as we consider learning and achievement part of our mission, interns will receive free group classes (if they don't interfere with work schedule) and 20% off private lessons with our instructors.
